Senior Formulation Chemist for Potting Encapsulation Resins

We are SpeedPox a technology startup of the Vienna University of Technology. Our goal is to revolutionize the production and use of epoxy potting and encapsulation resin. We offer an innovative extremely fastcuring epoxy potting resin for the hightech electronics industry. Our product allows our customers to save up to 99% in time and energy thus drastically reducing CO2 emissions. This contributes to helping our climate and our future!

Tasks

Your Key Responsibility

• Develop innovative formulations for new products and modify existing products to meet evolving market demands.

More About Your Role

• Selfstarter with strong initiative.
• Create a strong network of material suppliers technology providers and endusers.
• Lead potting and encapsulation development projects from conception to commercialization.
• Collaborate with chemists application and process engineers to design and improve potting formulation performance for electronics applications.
• Lead and supervise your highly international lab team.
• Ensure that intellectual property is protected through proper documentation and patent filing.

Requirements

Your qualifications

• Minimum requirement: Bachelors degree in chemistry/ chemical engineering/ material science /or similar and work experience. However if you possess a graduatelevel degree (Masters or Ph.D.) youll be at a distinct advantage.
• Proven ability to invent and innovate (e.g. patents) and a strong ability to design and supervise experiments are needed.
• The ability to work autonomously on multiple projects is needed.
• A solid understanding of standard concepts practices and procedures within the field of potting and encapsulation materials.
• Familiarity with intellectual property protection patent filing and trade secrets.
• A structured and precise way of working and you can lead your lab team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
• Work experience is a must (e.g. in a research or manufacturing company).

Benefits

What we offer to you

Gross monthly salary (based on fulltime employment) starts at EUR 6.000 with a willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and relevant prior work experience. The salary is paid 14 times a year (holiday and Christmas money). For legal reasons we would like to point out that a minimum salary of EUR 2.13852 (fulltime) applies to this position.
