Administrator – Collections (Calling)


Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of administration and customer payments concerning all accounts efficiently and accurately in arrears.

Required Education:
  • Passes in 4 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English at grades I or II. (or equivalent)
Required Skills / Experience:
  • Experience working within a Credit Control / Arrears department.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Ability to communicate in both oral and written forms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
Required Personal Characteristics:
  • Tactful and discreet.
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude towards work.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently.
  • Team player.
Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s systems policies and procedures as related to Arrears.
  • Ensure that customers receive service that exceeds their expectations.
  • Answer the telephone promptly and courteously.
  • Calls customers to remind them of their payments.
  • Do follow up on customers where messages have been left.
  • Encourage customers to make payments on a timely basis.
  • Ensure customers understand their payment terms.
  • Assist with clerical functions concerning arrears.
  • Work/liaise with the other members of the office team to ensure that objectives are met.
