As a Senior Java Developer at retailcloud you will play a vital role in shaping our headless commerce platform. Your responsibilities will involve solutioning & implementing modern scalable and complex backend applications ensuring efficient business management and integrating diverse systems. Responsibilities:

• Development:
  

• Independently contribute to highperforming APIs for our headless commerce platform.
  

• Demonstrate expertise in Java development and system architecture upholding design principles.
  

• Design and implement highquality scalable and efficient Java solutions.
  

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
  

• Work independently and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
  

• Experience with advanced Java Platform development technologies.
  

• Experience in building or maintaining live applications.
  

• Experience in building or maintaining enterprise grade applications is a plus.
  

• System Understanding and Contribution:
  

• Understand and contribute to the current implementation and architecture with minimal guidance.
  

• Implementing new components for feature needs.
  

• Learn more about the system and ensure the junior developers follow the best practices.
  

• Mentorship and Collaboration:
  

• Guide and mentor junior members assisting in building larger applications and features.
  

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions considering the current architecture.
  

• Continuous Improvement:
  

• Stay uptodate with the latest Java technologies tools and trends.
  

• Provide technical expertise and support to other teams within the organization.
  

• Take ownership of project timelines and deliver highquality software within deadlines.
  

• Understand technical requirements and build solutions independently.
  

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  

• Code Quality and Analysis:
  

• Ensure code quality through reviews and collaboration.
  

• Identify and resolve technical challenges and performance bottlenecks in Java applications.
  

• Write welldesigned efficient and testable code.
  

• Project Management and Delivery:
  

• Ensure designs comply with specifications and transform requirements into stipulations.
  

• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
  

• Innovation and Exploration:
  

• Investigate alternatives and technologies.
  

• Build new components and present them for architectural review.
  

Technical Requirements:

• Proficient in Java development with a strong understanding of system architecture principles.
  

• Experience with distributed applications microservices and API development
  

• Expertise in scalability and thorough understanding of Java technologies including Spring Boot.
  

• Handson experience with designing and implementing highperforming APIs.
  

• Proficiency in MySQL and SQL.
  

• Understanding of REST APIs.
  

• Nice to have Knowledge & experience in queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ) and streaming systems (e.g. Kafka).
  

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure etc.) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes) is a plus.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  

• 2 years of handson development experience in Java.
