PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

Senior design engineer sensor is a critical role in developing photodiode and other type of sensor device technology used for photo and radiation detectors may including but not limited by CMOS image sensors flat panel sensor devices etc.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Specialism in Semiconductor Physics & Microelectronics Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in silicon wafer process process (CMOS BiCMOS or other siliconbased semiconductor devices) especially in wafer process integration technology.
  • Experience in research/development work on siliconbased semiconductor devices especially photo and radiation sensor devices.
  • Experience in layout design work on siliconbased semiconductor devices.
  • Experience in semiconductor process/device modeling data analysis method and software usage.
  • Familiar with semiconductor material/semiconductor device characterization methods.
  • Good written and fluent spoken English.

Desirable

  • Research/develop experience in Sibased photodiode device or CMOS image sensor device development is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and work in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience in failure analysis of semiconductor material/device.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and time manage priorities.

Qualifications

  • Master or PhD degree in Semiconductor Physics & Microelectronics Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
35 or more years development work experience in siliconbased semiconductor device (Sibased photo sensor device is preferred) design and development including wafer process development device/process modeling layout design and device characterization.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

  • Develop new semiconductor sensor devices based on customer/market request main tasks include
  • Lead new sensor device development work
  • Define sensor device specification
  • device modeling
  • Develop manufacture/process technology (with suppliers/partners)
  • Photo sensor device layout design
  • Define device characterization methods
  • Lead photo sensor device verification test work
  • Test data analysis and reporting
  • Attend communication and technical discuss with customers
  • Take technology development project management task if needed
  • Assist BU and product managers to analyze customer or new market/application request on new sensors.
  • Assist sourcing to select and qualify supplier for new materials/sensor device manufacturing.
  • Assist on communicate with suppliers and external partners on process/device failure analysis and other tasks.
  • Support on QC documentation work
  • Support in trouble shooting work for difficult sensor failure cases
  • Train related engineers on photo sensor device knowledge
  • Undertake special tasks/projects and other duties as assigned.
