Director of New Product Development

Our client is a multinational company that has called on us to assist them in identifying the Director of New Product Development to support their continued growth in the US.

Mission

The Director of New Product Development (NPD) is responsible for driving the innovation and development of new products across the company globally. The role requires leading a talented team of engineers scientists and product experts to conceptualize design and bring to market innovative solutions that enhance the businesses product portfolio and maintain their competitive edge.

Main responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a crossfunctional team of engineers and technology experts to foster a culture of innovation collaboration and accountability.
• Product Development: Oversee the endtoend product development process including ideation and conceptualization feasibility analysis design prototyping testing and validation ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
• Project Management: Effectively manage NPD project timelines budgets and resources to ensure ontime and onbudget product launches.
• CrossFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments including Product Management Marketing Sales and Operations to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet regulatory and compliance standards related to water treatment and safety.
• Intellectual Property: Manage intellectual property strategies including patents trademarks and trade secrets to protect the companys innovations.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the product development budget making costeffective decisions that maximize ROI.
• Strategic Planning: Stay abreast of industry trends customer needs and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for new product development. Implement comprehensive product development strategy aligned with the companies longterm goals and market trends in the relevant industry.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven track record of successfully launching innovative products in the industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of industrial technologies market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a creative and innovative mindset.
• Project and/or Product Lifecycle management experience and proficiency with relevant software tools.
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelors degree in engineering chemistry or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 57 years of experience in product development with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the industrial product manufacturing industry
• Professional Engineer (PE) Project Management (PMP) or Product Development (PDMA) certifications are a plus

Candidate must show proof of US citizenship/visa/alien registration.
