MacArthur Recruitment is looking for an experienced and selfmanaging Sales Trainer to help deliver our client s UK vision to be the market leading brand through marketleading quality firstclass customer service and continuous Innovation. You will give enthusiastic and quality training on their brands and products to retail staff in home furnishing stores with the aim of making our client s brand the consumer s brand of choice in national retail outlets.
Your location can be flexible most of the time you will be out visiting retail stores.
Responsibilities for the role of Sales Trainer :
- To fully understand and convey the company s heritage values vision and brands
- Manage training in mainland Scotland (Edinburgh Glasgow the Borders Aberdeen etc: up to Inverness down to North Cumbria) flexing call files when required to meet the demands of the business.
- Build relationships at store level and educate retail store staff on product specifications features and benefits in a consumerfriendly manner.
- Maintain brand and product knowledge with visits to the company manufacturing site.
- Organise and deliver local training sessions for national retail accounts; training attendees on selling skills as well as brand and product related attributes.
- Conduct tailored training for specific national retailers; support new staff and new store openings as required by the customer.
- Ensure the knowledge of retail store staff is kept up to date with regular refresher training visits.
- Assist national account teams at regional and national training events.
- Observe and report on competitor and retailer activity.
- Monitor retail floor models to ensure products and point of sale are displayed correctly to maximise sales opportunities and accurately record product displays via Floor Model tracking.
- Keep accurate and up to date records of each retail outlet (approx. 70 stores) on journey plan.
- Prompt and accurate weekly/monthly reporting.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly team meetings.
- Achieve KPIs and monthly targets.
- UK travel and overnight stays as required.
Background and experience for the role of Sales Trainer :
- Experience selling highend branded products.
- Direct sales experience.
- Training experience not required as this will be provided but desirable.
- Used sales techniques such as top down features and benefits etc.
- Training and shadowing opportunities will be given at first.
