Staff Accountant

Job Description

Firm in Marin is seeking a new member for their accounting team. The successful candidate will display a high degree of professionalism attention to detail sensitivity to deadlines and be able to handle highly sensitive information with complete confidentiality. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills are a must as is the desire and ability to identify recommend and lead improvements. Candidate must work well individually as well as part of a team be flexible and willing to accept new challenges.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Advent APX HedgeFacts Sage AccPac experience helpful
• Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel and Outlook
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and adapt as new duties and technology evolve
• Selfmotivated with strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic
• Solid reconciliation and analysis skills
• Ability to exercise judgment to support and document conclusions
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills
• Investment accounting a plus
• Perform other special projects as needed
