We are hiring for a leadership role responsible for assisting the management team with shipping receiving and inventory management for a warehouse in Bay Minette AL. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring safety product quality and efficient operations.
- Manage all employee issues including but not limited to hiring employee feedback employee training employee counseling time off and time approval.
- Ensure proper storage and accuracy of inventory received and shipped.
- Monitor inventory levels
- Ensure all orders are shipped according to customer needs including preparing export orders and export order paperwork with accuracy.
- Supervise disposal of scrap and trash
- Ensure orders are staged and inspected for next day shipping.
- Manage general warehouse duties such as end of day late carrier shipments and warehouse shutdown procedures.
- Crosstrain to serve as a backup for another assistant manager/warehouse manager when needed.
- Directly supervise a crew of 2 to 6 employees in the shipping and receiving department.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience in warehousing inventory and supervision.
Additional schooling or equivalent is a plus.
At least 2 years of successful forklift experience.
Experience using warehousing/inventory software.
Experience using Microsoft office.
Employee will be required to stand walk reach squat lift overhead twist bend and be able to climb stairs.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass drug and background screening.

At least 2 years of successful forklift experience. Experience using warehousing/inventory software. Experience using Microsoft office.
