Our client Industrial Shadeports Inc. is searching for a full time Estimator in their Fort Lauderdale location.
About us:
Industrial Shadeports is a full line manufacturer of Shade Structures and Shade Sails for the Municipal Institutional and Commercial markets. We are also a Certified General Contractor and selfperform all aspects of design manufacture supply installation maintenance repair and replacement in our Fort Lauderdale facility. We do not have a showroom or sell direct to the public. We only perform contracting work for our own structures. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
This Position is responsible for Estimating for all types of Shade Sails and Shade Structures. Our primary markets are playgrounds parking etc. Check out our website at to see examples of our work.
Estimator Responsibilities include:
Estimator Responsibilities include:
- Clarify the scope of work read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Preparation of project estimates and bids including cost breakdowns timelines and project scopes.
- Perform structural steel takeoffs.
- Ensure timely submission of estimates to clients and follow up on their inquiries and feedback.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned as they may arise for Company.
Skills: - Wellversed in Excel and MS Office Programs.
- Strong communication skills required.
- General computer competency required.
- Able to meet hard deadlines.
- Must work well independently with direction.
- Previous experience with canvas awnings playgrounds shade sails custom engineered construction products and projects is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- A valid FL drivers license and reliable transportation are required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
- Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
- Estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
- Sales support: 1 year (Preferred)
