Due to rapid growth within the business OCU are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our vibrant and dynamic Openreach Team! We work with major network operators technology vendors and engineering companies to design build manage and maintain the next generation of communication networks. You will manage the delivery of Fibre ( FTTP) services on the Openreach Contract. You will report to the Project Director weekly and quarterly on the Quarterly Build Programme Staff Performance Costs Vs Value Project Costs.
Responsibilities
- Regular client meetings to discuss project progression delays and mitigations
- Ensure all personnel work within and uphold the correct Health and Safety and quality as per company policy.
- Responsible for ensuring that all site staff under Project Manager (PM) direct control undertake tasks to specification and client standard
- Ensure that all resource levels are maintained to meet the project and build requirements
- Undertake operative interviews and inductions
- Conduct onsite Safety Audits/Risk Assessments minimum 4 per month.
- Conduct onsite/desktop engineer quality checks.
- Compliance: Ensure that all personnel have the required training and qualifications
- Ensure that required support is available to support staff to deliver the contract in a professional safe manner and to the highest quality.
- Ensure the upkeep and embedding of internal and client processes.
- Validate identify and programme all flex and civils work. Setting clear quarterly delivery glides to meet internal and client targets based on task requirements and estimated timescales.
- Ensure office personnel within the team are informed of and are implementing all relevant project requirements.
- Clear understanding and implementation of project cost variation process
- Liaise closely with planning delegating facilitating and enabling future programme build
- Manage and liaise with third party contractors
- Monitor and order necessary stores and equipment required for Build.
- Review and sign off weekly plant checks.
- Manage and task coordinators (including. backoffice support) working within your allocated area(s) to meet delivery and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all companycontrolled documents including all method statements and procedures.
- Manage and resolve customer/residential complaints and council fines including HRIs and FPNs received in area
Skills & Experience
- Ability to manage supervise and motive team members
- Interpret telecom design blueprints and construction maps
- Knowledge of FTTP / FTTH / CAT A with full understanding of SHP/THP principles
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills able to work to deadlines
- Experience within a busy office environment
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience in a Utilities/Construction environment desirable
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office (Word Excel Power Point and Outlook)
