The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in Prof. Emilio Palomares research group. This position will be funded by the Pearl project.

ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in Prof. Emilio Palomares research group on the design and synthesis of molecules to be applied as selective contacts in solar cells This project is funded by the European Union (PEARL).

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesis of organic or organometallic molecules.
• Characterization of the structure and electrooptical properties in solution and in solid state.
• Writing technical reports and drafts for submission as papers about the obtained results.
• Presentations of the results in conferences technical meetings and workshops of the project.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry
• Experience in the synthesis of molecules for solar cells

• Experience in organic synthesis.

We offer

• A temporary fulltime employment contract linked to the Pearl project ending on 30/09/2026.

• Remuneration according to individuals qualifications/experience.
• Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments.
• Incorporation: January 2024.

Selection Process

ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases:

• Preselection: The preselection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates CVs. This phase is meritbased.
• Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
• Offer Letter:Once the successful candidate is selected the People Unit will extend a Job Offer specifying the start day salary and overall job conditions.
