Job Summary:
Green Seal is seeking an experienced and resourceful Business Development Representative to tackle the daytoday relations with existing Green Seal clients prospective clients and all other customers. This individual will have two primary responsibilities: 1) driving sales of new and addon products; 2) ensuring customer success through exceptional customer service and strategic management of key accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of the needs of both current and prospective participating organizations with Green Seal and the ability to effectively meet those needs. This role will report directly to the VP Sales & Customer Success.
Salary is based on experience with a target range of $6075K. This role also includes an opportunity for substantial variable compensation.
Essential Job Functions:
Sales Responsibilities Include:

Directly own and manage a portion of Green Seal s sales pipeline in support of overall team targets.
.
Respond to all new prospective certification/program inquiries via email and phone communication.
.
Conduct initial research to help determine eligibility of potential clients for Green Seal programs.
.
Guide new prospects through the sales pipeline providing client support along the way and facilitating internal coordination as needed.
.
Track all sales fulfillment work in Green Seal s CRM.
.
Monitor personal sales KPIs to ensure performance meets or exceeds expectations.
.
Keep informed of marketplace issues and trends affecting our participants to remain wellinformed and responsive to evolving needs.
Customer Success and Account Management Responsibilities Include:
.
Ensure customers participating in Green Seal s certification and other programs receive a high level of value as well as personal satisfaction through positive engagement opportunities.
.
Provide comprehensive troubleshooting and support for problematic accounts proactively preventing attrition.
.
Conduct email and phone outreach to existing Green Seal clients keeping them informed about current organizational activities and identifying opportunities for additional support.
.
Maintain realtime upkeep of CRM and Customer Service platforms ensuring data quality while supporting Business Systems/Operations team in ensuring overall data integrity.

Provide new sales marketing billing and basic technical support for all existing client inquiries
.
Maintain active new logo/new service campaigns at the direction of the VP of Sales and Customer Success in collaboration with the VP of Marketing and Communications.
.
Coordinate internally to obtain answers and resolutions for more complex inquiries.
.
Collaborate with the Business Systems/Operations team to design and development of Customer Service technology tools including multichannel support (web email phone social) customized CRM workflows and templates customer service applications and a customer service web portal.

Partner with Marketing Team to support customers with marketing initiatives and promotions.
.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional office and/or home office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
.
This position is largely sedentary in nature however one must possess the ability to speak hear and write as well as the ability to use a computer and related software programs. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required at times. Accommodations are available.

Limited travel (up to 10%) may occasionally involve representing Green Seal at tradeshows and events.

Education Experience & Competencies
.
Required
o Bachelor s degree in business marketing communications sustainability or related field required MBA or similar master s degree preferred.
o 37 years of experience in sales business processes and/or customer engagement required.
o Customer service and customer relationship management (CRM) experience required.
.
Highly Desired
o Industry experience in household and commercial products holding a role in product management sales or operations with knowledge and experience collaborating with brand managers/product managers for household and commercial product manufacturers.
o Brand management or product management experience preferably at a large consumer brand demonstrating a deep understanding of decisionmaking and thought processes within major consumer brands and/or product manufacturers.
o Knowledge and experience related to testinginspection and certification (TIC) industry.
o Familiarity with sustainability green chemistry innovative packaging/recycling and/or related subjects.
o Proficiency in MS Excel and other quantitative tools for effective data analysis.
