On September 28 1976 we signed a lease on our first ice cream parlor. Later that day we saw a double rainbow light up the sky over San Francisco and our name was born. Since then Double Rainbow has been producing award winning super premium ice creams and frozen desserts with one thing in mind to always make the best. We produce over 60 flavors of Ice Creams Sorbets and Soy Creams. All our ice creams are made with milk and cream that come from cows that are not treated with hormones. Our sorbets are made with fruit purees and nongenetically modified corn syrup. Our nondairy soy creams are Kosher Parve and Vegan. What You Will Do:

As the Accounting Manager you will be the key member of the finance and accounting team responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting with a focus on manufacturing/cost accounting. You will collaborate closely with the CEO providing strategic financial insights and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in general ledger management reconciliation AP/AR and monthly close processes. A small but mighty organization we are seeking a talented Accounting Manager to join our team. You will play a crucial role in the financial management of our business wear many hats and bring joy to the lives of countless loyal customers!

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing and Cost Accounting
  • Utilize your expertise in cost accounting to analyze and report on production costs ensuring accurate and timely recording of manufacturing expenses.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to establish and maintain cost standards providing insights to optimize production efficiency and costeffectiveness.
General Ledger Management and Reconciliation
  • Oversee the general ledger ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to maintain the integrity of financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Supervise and manage the accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring timely processing and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Work closely with the team to resolve any discrepancies and streamline payment processes.
Monthly Close Process
  • Lead the monthly close process ensuring all financial statements are prepared accurately and on schedule.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights into business performance and variances.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor a junior accountant fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
  • Provide guidance on accounting principles policies and procedures.
Strategic Financial Partnership
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO providing financial analysis and insights to support decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive financial strategies that align with organizational goals.

Requirements:
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on manufacturing and cost accounting.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger management reconciliation and monthend close processes.
  • Experience in the food industry is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Previous experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
