Controller

Responsibilities

• Report to leadership on a weekly basis on KPIs progress with new initiatives etc.
• Communicate clearly persuasively and professionally
• See the bigger picture and develop your own strategic viewpoint
• Manage accounting staff
• Work under the direction of fractional CFO
• Be point of contact for outside bankers investment advisors consultants tax advisors
• Document monitor and update accounting policies
• Review analyze and present weekly monthly quarterly and annual performance measurements and financial reports
• Maintain a large and complex data analytics program
• Manage all elements of compliance and tax work in conjunction with outside CPAs
• Manage KPIs
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate and uptodate filing systems

Skills

• Experience as a Controller or similar role
• Very strong communication / presentation skills
• A very high level of organization. This is a complex role
• Strong background in data manipulation and data analytics
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles best practices GAAP
• Accounting staff management experience
• Handson experience with all elements of the accounting cycle – AP AR Payroll G/L Reconciliations Controls Reporting Data integrity
• Strong experience with cashflow management
• Working knowledge of risk assessment
• Very tech savvy
• BSc or MSc in Accounting or Finance
