How you can contribute to gridX

Do stuff that matters Our IoT gateway the gridBox is a central part of our xenon platform. As an Embedded Linux Software Engineer you take care of scalability in several aspects from the operating system to the multistage process for production including testing and quality assurance.

• You are responsible for and maintain the Yoctobased operating system on our gridBox and adapt it to new hardware variants and other requirements
• You roll out new updates of our operating system to all gridBox devices in the field via our device management system
• You define hardware requirements for new gridBox generations and support our hardware experts in their design
• You optimize our OS and our production tools with regard to secure and fast provisioning of the hardware in our production
• You drive the production and quality assurance of the gridBox forward through automation working closely with our hardware developers

This is how you and your application stand out

• You have several years of professional experience in embedded Linux development especially with Yocto as well as in the extended Linux environment (Bash and various build systems)
• You have good knowledge of hardwarerelated programming with C as well as a higher programming language such as Python or Go
• You are familiar with microcontroller development common intraboard communication protocols (I2C SPI) and IP networks
• You have experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and other best practices of modern software development
• Ideally you have experience with container technology such as Docker and have already worked on open source projects
• You want to revolutionize the energy market with us and speak fluent English and German
