Project Manager Ground Improvement

Job Description

  • Manage the division's ground improvement contracting projects in the Chicago area.
  • Oversee the implementation of ground improvement techniques such as Aggregate Piers Rigid Inclusions and Stone Columns.
  • Ensure that projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team including hiring and training staff.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
  • Prepare and review project contracts proposals and reports.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in ground improvement contracting specifically with knowledge of Aggregate Piers Rigid Inclusions and Stone Columns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a fastpaced construction environment.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ground improvement contracting.
  • Prior experience working in the construction industry preferably in the Chicago area.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
