Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Company Information:
Voadera sells name brand products in a wide variety of categories. The company has been in business for 8 years has 5 locations throughout the US and is headquartered in the Minneapolis area. In addition the company has an office overseas which handles many of the technical and administrative support aspects of the business. Voadera is one of the fastest growing Ecommerce companies in the US and Voadera has aggressive growth plans to continue to expand its customer base by expanding partnerships with brands vendors and suppliers and most notably growing its own brand.
Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Manager you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our warehouse operations for efficiency accuracy and overall excellence. You will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives overseeing daily activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your focus will extend from meticulous data management to team leadership and strategic planning for future growth.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute Annual and quarterly goals with management
Assessing employee performance with input from the assistant manager to identify
opportunities for growth and address any issues requiring discipline possibly through
verbal/written warnings.
Ensuring that company values and vision are upheld in all staff and operations
Managing employee needs personalities and performance through coaching
communication motivation and discipline. Recognizing employees special occasions.
Continuously optimizing operations to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure all operations are being performed properly in accordance with the SOPs.
Reviewing and following up on duties assigned to the assistant manager
Holding monthly meetings with warehouse employees to review progress and ensure
alignment with quarterly goals
Weekly meetings with direct report on warehouse progress staff performance and
suggestions for improving. Discuss Planning and preparing for future needs and
requirements for growth.
Evaluating long term staff needs and suggesting hiring performance improvement or
termination decisions with direct reports.
Maintaining proper warehouse organization and layout
Implementing operational policies and procedures. Assisting with warehouse work when
required. Building out and optimizing new operations safety processes systems and
workflows in the warehouse as needed and delegating as appropriate.
Ensure warehouse is meeting daily quota
Ensure Warehouse is following procedures and policies in warehouse handbook
Ensure everyone understands the handbook
Develop and utilize Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
Achieve OSHA compliance
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
3 5 years warehouse/distribution management experience
Technically savvy with the ability to use various computer systems
Experience with process optimization and project planning required
High integrity ethical with ability to act with discretion in sensitive matters
Demonstrated ability to manage diverse team their performance and schedule
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience in ecommerce with comprehensive understanding of supply chain management
Familiar with startup environment and have warehouse setup experience
Prior experience with lean or 6sigma principles is preferred
Strong desire to grow to Director or higher level with a growing company
