Job Description

Food and Beverage Manager

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations. This role requires strong leadership skills a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daytoday operations of the food and beverage department including the restaurant bar and room service
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to guests exceeding their expectations
  • Create and implement innovative menus taking into consideration guest preferences dietary restrictions and local and estate produce
  • Train and supervise staff members on proper food and beverage service procedures ensuring a professional and efficient service
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the food and beverage team providing feedback and coaching to improve performance
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and safety in all areas of the food and beverage department
  • Manage food and beverage inventory including ordering and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination between food preparation and service
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and vendors
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies implementing them to enhance the guest experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations and industry best practices
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Desired Experience:

The desired experience for the Food and Beverage Manager role at Ballynahinch Castle is a minimum of 3 years in a similar position within the hospitality industry. Candidates with experience in managing highvolume operations knowledge of local and estate produce and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service will be given preference.
