Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance operations within Hodson Bay Hotel.
• Ensure the continuous operation and maintenance of all electrical systems HVAC equipment plumbing systems and other mechanical equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all mechanical and electrical systems.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors providing guidance training and support as needed.
• Determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
• Regularly inspect the hotel's mechanical and electrical equipment to identify potential problems and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with other departments and external contractors to plan and execute maintenance projects and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities including work orders equipment inspections and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards promoting a culture of safety among the maintenance team.
• Stay uptodate with advancements in mechanical and electrical systems and technologies making recommendations for upgrades or improvements as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
• Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desired Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Experience in managing a team of maintenance technicians.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and practices.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices.
