The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher This position will be funded partially by the project PIDGBI from the MCIN/AEI//

ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in the group of Prof Arjan Kleij

Responsibilities

• The candidate is expected to contribute and develop to the areas of sustainable synthesis and polymer development with a particular focus on catalysis as a key enabling technology

Requirements

• We are looking for candidates with a strong proven track record and passion for sustainable organic synthesis and biopolymer development A background in these areas is a hard requisite We expect the canidate to contribute to the management of the group as a senior assiociate and develop a great deal of independent research in the realm of the key areas essential to the interest of the group

Valued qualities

• Organic synthesis polymer chemistry homogeneous catalysis excellent writing and communication skills high independence critical thinking

We offer

• A fulltime year contract

Selection Process

ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases

• Preselection The preselection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates CVs This phase is meritbased
• Interview Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee
