Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Information Security Specialist to drive the automation of reports and data extraction from key security and IT management platforms Y ou will be responsible for understanding complex data sources developing automated processes and ensuring seamless integration across diverse platforms Additionally you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a robust Patch Management Program

Key Responsibilities

Automating Reports and Data Extraction

• Understand and extract data from Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Vulnerability Management Platform (mUnit & Jira) and Antivirus platforms
  
• Develop and maintain API integrations for automated data extraction
  
• Create and implement scripts or middleware for report generation
  
• Ensure compatibility in data formats across platforms
  
• Implement scheduled extraction processes for uptodate reporting
  

Data Normalization and Transformation

• Normalize data for comparison and aggregation
  
• Transform extracted data into a standardized format suitable for analysis
  

Analysis and Metric Computation

• Identify and compute Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  
• Conduct trend analysis to identify patterns and insights over time
  

Report Generation

• Design clear and visually appealing report templates
  
• Automate report compilation using tools
  
• Provide customization options for generating specific reports
  

Distribution and Accessibility

• Set up automated distribution to stakeholders via email or a central dashboard
  
• Configure access controls to ensure data security
  

Security and Compliance Considerations

• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies
  
• Maintain audit trails for data access and report generation
  

Integration with Business Intelligence Tools

• Integrate with business intelligence tools for advanced analysis
  
• Create interactive dashboards for stakeholders
  

Training and Documentation

• Conduct user training on report interpretation
  
• Create comprehensive documentation for the automation process
  

Patch Management Program

• Conduct asset inventory and risk assessments
  
• Develop and document patch management policies and procedures
  
• Identify prioritize and test patches based on risk assessment
  
• Plan and execute patch deployments in collaboration with technical teams
  
• Monitor systems postpatch deployment and address any issues
  
• Conduct compliance checks and maintain audit trails
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
  
• Minimum of years in IT security and automation
  
• Proven experience in automating reports and data extraction
  
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python PowerShell etc)
  
• Strong understanding of EDR MDR and vulnerability management platforms
  
• Experience with API integration for data extraction
  
• Relevant certifications in IT security and automation (eg CISSP CompTIA Security)
