Veritas Careers are recruiting for a busy and well established franchise dealership who have a requirement for an Assistant Accountant to join the team in Cheshire

Requirements
Ideally you will have experience of working within the finance of a busy retail business be used to working as a team and enjoy a challenging and varied environment.
The role.
- Assisting the existing accountant and being a valuable member of the accounts team
- Supporting the accounts manager in finance duties, full management account preparation and reporting, and ad hoc duties as required
- Ability to work on own initiative with little or no supervision
- Experience of daily till receipt and bank reconciliation, petty cash analysis and reconciliation and ad hoc reconciliation and investigation is essential.
- Collecting debts in a professional and efficient manner
- Managing, maintaining and updating of customer accounts
- Carrying out credit checks on customer applications before authorising
- Investigating discrepancies and speaking to suppliers to resolve queries
- Posting invoices to the Purchase Ledger
- Reconciling supplier statements monthly
