We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: Join a clinical team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and medical assistants in a multi-specialty clinic. Within the UW Health Specialty Clinic, you will have the opportunity to work within the specialties of General Surgery, Urology and Endocrinology (Fine Needle Aspiration for Thyroid), Weight Management and Sleep Disorders. Participate in cross functional teams across the organization to support a seamless patient experience. Work in collaboration with the team to provide patient care. Room patients (virtual and in person), take vitals, assist with clinic procedures, perform phlebotomy and EKG's. Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness and education. Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile). Experience: Minimum two years experience required as Certified Medical Assistant.Traveler must have ambulatory or clinic experience.Primary care experience highly preferred.Prior traveler experience highly preferred. Licensure and Certification: Certified as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN. BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or In lieu of the above requirements, two (2) years of recent Medical Assistant experience and current CMA, RMA or CCMA certification. Reference Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years). Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Shift: 40 hrs/week, Day, Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm. No weekends, holidays or on call.
