Java Architect

Description

The Software Architect will be responsible for overseeing and guiding all new sub-projects and enhancements to the existing applications covered under this project. Additionally, the candidate, based on detailed understanding of the architecture and software solutions, will make determinations of impacts that any new enhancements may trigger. Candidate will assist with maintenance of the existing applications by researching incidents and determining resolutions.

Duties

• The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered complex processing system. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:
• Analysis of requirements and system design work.
• Presentations of system designs to the users and technical communities.
• Development of detailed design documents and program specifications.
• Code, and perform unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
• Write and tune complex SQL.
• Technical Support of user testing efforts.
• Performance tune new and existing applications.
• Analyze, design and implement solutions for production issues.
• Mentor less experienced staff is required.

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience (8+ Years)
• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Requirements

• This is an 100% Onsite
• 84 months experience with a Government Taxation organization, which includes business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of complex Tax Returns processing.
• 84 months experience with Java programming in an IBM Environment development using IDE of IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) that are built with Websphere Application Server (WAS).
• 84 months experience with XML, J2EE technologies Servlets, JavaScript, EJB, JDBC, JNDI, MQ series, JMS, CTG, JSP XML, BPEL, SOA, XSD, XPATH, JDOM and SCA.
• 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with enterprise databases.
• 60 months of Websphere Integration Developer (WID) that are built with Websphere Process Server (WPS).
• 60 months of IBM MQSeries experience.
• 60 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
• 60 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
• 60 months experience in performance tuning returns processing system implementation and experience with Java/XML based Rules Engine and Rules building tool and working with XML and XQueries.
• 36 months experience with Spring Framework and JSON.
