Infection Prevention Control Practitioner

Provides consultation and expertise in IPCfor professional staff, administrative, medical, clinical, patientcare, and support services. Responsible forsurveillance programs for both healthcare acquired infections anddisease reporting including collection and analysis of relevantdata and implementation of appropriate action plans to addressrelated issues. Establishes along with relevantstakeholders the IPC Committee to determine the direction ofsurveillance activities. Actively monitors andevaluates effectiveness of the IPCstrategy. Participates in the formulation ofpolicies for the control and prevention of Centerinfection. Advises and supports under thesupervision of the Infection Control Committee Chairman and allheads of departments in the implementation of agreed infectioncontrol policies in their specific areas. Servesas a member of committees related to infection control and collectsand records relevant data andinformation. Adheres to Qatar governmentrequirements for reportable diseases and outbreakreporting.
