Position Overview: Performs complete polysomnography, including patient setup and scanning using a Sensor Medics system. Essential Functions: a) Patient setup.b) Scanning.c) BiPAP setup and titration.d) O2 setup and titration.e) Report generation. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Qualifications & Skills:a) Education: Graduate of AMA-approved school of polysomnography, registered polysomnography technician (RPsgT), BLS certified. b) Training & Experience: At least one year experience in polysomnography, familiarity with Sensor Medics SomnoStar System, including set up, configuration, data acquisition, data transfer, scoring and report generation. c) Job Knowledge: Strong skills in sleep disorders, patient screening, scanning (including central apnea and hypopnea, obstructive apnea and hypopnea, ALS-level arrhythmia recognition, sleep staying, CPAP titration, BiPAP titration, O2 administration), use of various CPAP and BiPAP appliances, report validation and generation.
