The Project Manager provides overall project leadership, management and oversight and manages projects through the entire lifecycle and ensures they are closed on time, within budget, and meet the projects’ objectives. The project manager is responsible for successful project delivery. KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES • Decides on all processes and day-to-day delegation of tasks related to the project management to ensure the successful delivery of projects within time and quality standards. • Effectively manages the implementation of several delegated projects from initiation until deployment. • Responsible for planning, organizing and controlling all project resources and efforts. • Develops work breakdown structure, detailed project plans and schedules and is accountable for monitoring and reporting on project metrics, issues, risks and overall progress. • Monitors and ensures that projects adhere to the established project management standards and methodologies and performs required procurement, communication and human resource management activities as required. • Ensures required project documentation is complete. • Assembles the project team assigning individual responsibilities and identifying appropriate resources needed. • Actively manages risks and issues for assigned projects and when necessary, escalates issues to management’s attention for guidance and assistance • Develops and oversees the maintenance of a consistent Project Management Status reporting to aid in the governance of the overall project management process. • Performs vendor and stakeholder management to ensure business needs/requirements have been met • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders and balances competing priorities, resources, schedules and budgets. • Provides support and guidance to other project team members.
