The Distribution Technician prepares clinical material for distribution to investigate sites or depots related to customer s pharmaceutical clinical trials in a cGMP environment. He/She maintains inventory stock and records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick and pack and verify shipment requests per SOPs and Clinical Material Distribution Instructions.
Update inventory records.
Prepare carrier waybill / shipping label etc and schedule carrier pick-up.
Load /supplies to/from common carriers or company truck.
Operate company forklift truck, pallet jack, hand truck, etc.
Prepare and distribute periodic reports on inventory and distribution.
Perform or assist in investigations related to inventory and distribution.
Keeps work area in a safe, clean & orderly condition.
Follow all applicable cGMPs, FDA, DEA, OSHA, and IATA Regulations, and ISO guidelines.
Adhere to set safety standards.
Participate actively in regular meetings.
Achieve expected performance measures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School diploma; Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Logistics or related field preferred.
1-2 years in shipping or warehousing, pharmaceutical and international preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in supply chain management, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet critical timelines.
Strong oral and written communication skill to communicate with the team, peers, management, and external contacts.
Ability to interpret and implement cGMPs, FDA, DEA, OSHA, and IATA Regulations, and ISO guidelines.
Knowledge of both domestic and international shipping methods and shipping documentation.
Knowledge of commodity/harmonizing code.
Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project and Excel
