The Manufacturing Cost Accountant role will play an important part in the future growth of our client as they expand their workforce and work hours. The company has been ISO certified for more than 20 years and is looking to build on this long-term certification. They want to review all their departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to look for ways to improve and become more efficient. An independent look from a new set of eyes on how procedures are designed for maximum efficiency and quality production so that standards are not overlooked as the company grows will be the main focus of this position. It is a newly created position where the right person can have a big impact.



Pay rate:
$65,000-85,000 DOE

Schedule:
8:00AM-5:00PM

Responsibilities:


  • Purpose of this job is to take company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), review and simplify where needed
  • Then develop an audit program for each department with routine reviews to insure each department has both an understanding of the SOPs and that they are being followed consistently in multiple plants for consistency of quality and performance standards
  • Compile and distribute actions as a result of audit findings
  • Identify, evaluate and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and improve efficiency;
  • Ensure that all activities are in compliance with company policies and procedure
  • Perform or assist with special projects as they arise

Requirements :


  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, business or industrial engineering;
  • Ability to map processes within a department and study how they interface with other departments for elimination of duplicity but retaining needed checks and balances;
  • Ability in both verbal and written form to communicate with all levels of management including senior management team;
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Experience working with large volumes of data and ability to analyze turning results into meaningful and actionable items;
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
