Care Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to complement our talented team in Santa Barbara, California.

Weve been serving the local community for more than 20 years! Our newly updated hospital is beautiful and inviting, with a diverse and stimulating caseload. With support from our board-certified Emergency Care Criticalist Dr. Virginia Frauenthal, board-certified Internal Medicine specialist Dr. Claudia Bowman and seasoned ER Veterinarians, you ll always have a stellar team to work with.

Our qualified technicians, many RVTs, are equipped to assist in a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations. With loyalty and love for the community, several of our staff have been at Care for over a decade.

For its mild climate and enchanting location, Santa Barbara has won well-deserved recognition as The American Riviera. Santa Barbara is unique in many ways and discovering the hidden gems and history is half the fun of living here. Requirements


  • Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
  • Active Veterinary State License

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $64,000 to $240,000.
