Are you an engineer with 3+ years experience? Do you have a background in Plastic Mold Injection and Tooling?

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in setting the standard for Total Quality Management (TQM) practices, demonstrating excellence in your use of TQM tools in daily responsibilities and interactions with others. With minimal supervision, you will be responsible for conceiving, developing, implementing, and managing engineering projects from start to finish. This includes everything from initial planning, documentation, parts selection, and specifications, to construction, debugging, installation, and internal customer interactions. You will also collaborate with division management on strategic technical matters.

Requirements

Champion a culture of safety and ensure that safety is paramount in all aspects of your work.
Provide direction to drafters, designers, and technicians assigned to your projects, and acquire external resources when necessary to achieve project objectives.
Coordinate project activities with various departments as needed.
Design intricate processes and equipment while overseeing their construction, debugging, and installation. Additionally, engage in original equipment development through research and experimentation.
Initiate projects for new or improved products and processes.
Make necessary visits to branch plants or vendors to meet project goals.
Prepare cost and schedule estimates for new or refurbished machinery in project proposals. Develop project plans for proposed initiatives, serving as the project leader and managing all aspects of project management, including budget and schedule control, status reporting, customer interactions, and performance to design objectives.
Maintain a high level of expertise in product, process, and mechanical development, as well as project management, through continuous learning via external reading and technical courses.
Enhance and sustain advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, project management software, and other relevant tools.
Keep meticulous records and produce technical reports while safeguarding intellectual property in an engineering notebook.
Contribute innovative ideas for product development, process improvement, and equipment development that enhance safety or our competitive edge. You may also participate in business unit or strategic planning.
Possess a strong understanding of company procedures, ER&D Department procedures, and key technical personnel within the organization. You may be responsible for orienting and mentoring new engineers or designers.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing personnel, division managers, marketing, and other relevant disciplines as necessary.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Education Preferred:

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field
Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an Engineer III or equivalent.

Conduct routine inspections and corrosion surveys of pipelines, tanks, and related equipment. Perform cathodic protection system tests, maintenance, and repairs. Collect and analyze data related to corrosion rates and environmental factors. Implement corrosion mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate materials and coatings. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop corrosion control plans. Document inspection findings, maintenance activities, and corrosion control measures. Follow safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
