regular and dependable attendancebr Design or approve designs by outside personnel for expansions or modifications to existing equipment facilities etc throughout the plantbr Coordinate construction activity on plant sitebr Participate with Process Engineering Maintenance and Operations personnel to solve daily problems in areas of I&E Mechanical structural and processbr Obtain and evaluate bids from outside contractors on project implementation and equipment procurementbr Monitor costs of projects and provide construction management of samebr Prepare estimates and Return of Investment (ROI) for plant expansion projects and modificationsbr Ensure that all projects comply with OSHA EPA and other federal and local regulatory agenciesbr Ensure project designs comply with appropriate construction standards (ASME NFPA NEC etc)br Monitor and Control SHES Costs Schedule and Quality of all active projectsbr Review and recommend approval of proposals as assigned ensuring efficient production methods flow of work and use of spacebr Follow completed projects to ensure that anticipated benefits are achievedbr Evaluate the effectiveness of facilities for projected manufacturing schedules ensuring that dependable cost estimates are prepared to guide management in evaluating alternative proposalsbr Participate in the development of longrange plans for major layout changes incorporation of new processes selection of equipment and other related mattersbr Expedite certain segments of projects to avoid costly delaysbr Provide advice and counsel to the Purchasing Department in the preparation of materials and devices to be used in the plants operationbr Institute meaningful cost reduction programs as assignedbr Recommend and specify materials of construction andor equipment when desirablebr Prepare periodic reports or other data for presentation to plant management indicating record of achievement on established goals and recommended improvementsbr Ensure the maintenance of various engineering records and prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of existing facilities and methods for current and projected manufacturing schedulesbr Ensure that staff proposals include factors such as efficiency dependability quality and safetybr Recommend proper use of machines tools and equipment appraise technological developments investigate feasibility of new equipment and techniques prepare dependable cost estimates for changes in manufacturing methodsbr Maintain knowledge and understanding of site specific SHES information to ensure effective application to each projectbr Participate in development of new or improved products recommend and specify new materials andor equipment and design the process flowbr Periodically examine unit processes for updating techniques quality and overall efficiencybr Supervise and participate in the design and development of machinery equipment jigs and fixtures for all areas of the plant sitebr Recommend capital expenditures to management for approvalbr Ensure that all designs of equipment comply with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA EPA and other federal state and local regulatory agenciesbr Work closely with parent company representatives and teammates to implement projectsbr Participate in setting goals and objectives for the departmentbr Coordinate construction activities with the affected areas of the facilitybr Interface with other engineers managers in group meetings as requiredbr Develop and maintain good working relationships with all other departments to ensure effective execution of equipment and building modification as well as new equipment and new facility installationbr Participate in making suggestions for design changes to equipment fixtures and facilitiesbr Provide continuous and effective communication to all affected areas and management on project statusbr Participate in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance systemsbr Participate with other team members in developing adequate spare parts list for stockroom inventorybr Recommend spare parts for all newly installed equipment based on manufacturers guidelinesbr Ensure effective turnover of required engineering documentation at the end of each capital projectbr Support the update and control of PSM related engineering documentationbr Other duties as assigned by managementbr ppQualificationsppstrongQualificationsstrongbr BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical Electrical Mechanical or Civil)br Minimum of years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing
