pAre you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those living with Crohn sand ColitisppAt The Wise Seeker we are seeking a dedicated Policy Lead for our client in the UK to play a pivotal role in shaping our policy initiatives in alignment with our strategic objectives and UKwide influencing prioritiesppWorking closely with the Head of Policy and Campaigns and the Policy Manager you will actively engage in effective policy development and advocacy efforts making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of people across the UKphTaskshpAs a Policy Lead you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of policies that ensure a strong and influential voice for individuals affected by Crohns and ColitispulliDevelop and deliver evidencebased policy initiatives to transform servicesliliBuild and maintain relationships with decision makers across Scotland and NorthernIrelandliliCommunicate with them succinctly and effectively to amplify our voiceliliKeep track of policy developments in Scotland and Northern IrelandliliUse your knowledge of health policy and build networks to change systemsliliContribute to the development of policy and lead influencing in Scotland and Northern Ireland to achieve the client aims and objectivesliliMonitoring the external policy environment in Scotland and Northern Ireland to identify challenges and opportunities for policy development and influencing key stakeholders to achieve better diagnosis care and lives for people affected by Crohns and ColitisliliBuilding and maintaining effective relationships in Scotland and Northern Ireland with relevant government departments Parliament health care professionals health and social care organizations think tanks nongovernmental organizations public private and voluntary sector stakeholders and multistakeholder groups in order to influence and ensure a strong voice for people affected by Crohns and ColitisliliContributing to the development and maintenance of a UKwide comprehensive library of policy lines and position statements covering all key areas of health education employment and other issues relevant to people affected by Crohnsand ColitisliliSupporting the Head of Policy and the Policy Manager to ensure policy development aligns with and meets the needs of people affected by Crohns and Colitis across the UKliliContributing to the development of internal and external policy briefing documents consultation responses reports articles for publications and digital content ensuring that the patient voice is at the center of all communicationsliliWorking collaboratively with other teams ensuring effective communication and engagement with our clients staff across the organization to ensure policy development aligns with and supports the work of other teamsliliWorking collaboratively and proactively with other teams across the organization to ensure that the work of the wider organization is relevant to stakeholders and people affected by Crohns and ColitisliliWorking with the Communications and Campaigns teams to manage and assess the impact of the charitys policy and influencing activities including campaigningliliWork with the Knowledge and Information team and the Evidence and Insight team to ensure policy and advocacy are evidencebased and accurately reflect the needs and priorities of people with Crohns and ColitisliliPlanning and managing designated projects in accordance with project management methodology ensuring appropriate governance is in place and milestones are delivered to time and budgetliliEnsure equality diversity and inclusion and the voices of those with Crohns and Colitis are considered in all aspects of policy and advocacyliliRepresenting Crohns and Colitis UK at events as requiredliliWorking in line with the charity values and maintaining the reputation and standing of the charityliliEnsuring compliance with charity policies and all relevant legislationliulhRequirementshulliThis role will require some attendance at Scottish Parliament and Government offices for facetoface meetingsliliHealth system experienceliliAttention to detailliliAble to commute to Parliament (as and when)liliExperience with working with Health providersliulhBenefitshulli hours per weekliliPlace of work HybridliliPermanentliliPensionliliRemote but will have to travel to Scottish Parliament infrequentlyliul
