Job Description
- Leads implementation of environmental requirements for CLIENT onshore and offshore site operations to ensure compliance with Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) requirements and Company procedures. Establishes and maintains environmental protection programs, including flaring, air emissions, water, groundwater and noise, leveraging best practices to minimize potential environmental impacts and risks for operating assets.
- Implements COMPANY Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements across operating assets. Leads the development and review of environmental procedures and supports maintenance and audits of COMPANY EMS,
- Establishes and maintains environmental KPIs for site operations and initiatives (as assigned) and monitor and report progress and effectiveness in order to improve environmental performance.
- Reviews the design of existing, new and upcoming facilities to ensure that proper design considerations are incorporated to ensure that critical environmental aspects have been identified and are controlled effectively.
- Provides specialist environmental expertise, acts as technical focal point, and collaborates with other departments to develop and implement specific and/or specialised mitigation and monitoring programs, studies and projects to fulfil permit, regulatory and other operational environmental requirement
