pTo install fire alarm and associated life safety systems in line with the current requirements applicable to the Heathrow contract liaising with the Office staff to ensure best practice and the most cost effective solution To complete and return all company documentation and certification to comply with the companys systems and procedures To work as a team with colleagues to maintain and improve the companys reputation in relation to quality and customer service The job role will include & require flexible shift working to achieve contract requirements phPrincipal Responsibilities hp ppCarry out installation activities in a timely efficient and cost effective manner in line with the Companys quality standards ppCarry out all other necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with the Companys quality standards pulliCarry out small works and projects works in line with the Companys quality standardsliulpTo provide engineering backup and holiday cover as requested by the Regional Manager ppSupport the Engineering Team as required to maintain a reliable and responsive on site service support for the Heathrow contract ppEffectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status particularly system defects that affect its correct function ppLiaise with the Regional Manager and Administrator to ensure install commitments are met ppPlan own work including installations are in line with relevant standards ppEnsure legible and timely completion of all company paperwork in line with Company requirements ppBe responsible for the management and security of own install equipment in an efficient and economical manner by determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as and when appropriate ppOperate in accordance with the Company Handbook and all Company and customers quality standards and health and safety requirements ppPass on any potential leads for further business to the Regional Manager ppDiscuss any suggestions for installation improvement with the Regional Manager ppAttend training sessions identified by the Company and identify and communicate to the Engineering Manager any personal training and development needs ppIdentify and advise immediately any on site issues that would otherwise leave the client with lack of protection or coverage of their life safety systems ppstrongAccountable for strongppAll own documentation being completed and reaching the required destinations within agreed time limits ppEnsuring that customers are always satisfied with the service they receive ppFollowing all Heathrow Airport premises rules and regulations and wearing any work clothing reasonably required by the client ppRequests to attend site in competent approach to the installation of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems ppAble to install and remove devices from Gent network systems ppUnderstands detailed schematics and for construction issue drawings ppAble to work effectively as part of a team ppUnderstands different types of cable containment systems ppDeal with customers endusers construction personnel and inhouse staff in a professional manner ppVerbal and written communication ppstrongTechnical knowledge strongppFull and detailed understanding of BS Pt (including A & ) amendments) and specifically Fire Alarm System Installation ppFull and detailed understanding of BS Pt ppCompleted Units and of FIA Training ppUnderstands the basic building service systems eg air conditioning systems with a ppview to interfacing with them ppGent Vigilon Products ppUnderstanding Installation of PAVA systems ppHas a comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire alarm problems including an ability to recommend minimum requirement of Gent equipment in respect of servicing ppManufacturers Training in all other equipment as required This may include VESDA Radio Fire Suppression and will be decided by the
