The primary function of the role is to ensure that we develop the strongest possible relationship with the persons representing the individual Accounts on behalf the Customer base. These relationships will be built on the highest level of customer service enabling us to achieve new maintenance & additional opportunities, long term customer retention, from both existing and new accounts.

The National Maintenance Sales team will follow the strategically focused targets to support the development for Trinity s growth objectives and embellish the strong brand that the company is well known for within the Fire Detection, Suppression, Life Safety & Security marketplaces.

As part of the role additional support & communication will be provided via a variety of existing team members including the National Service Management team including Key Accounts, Remedials & Minor Works estimating team, National Service Hub and associated regional Sales & Operational delivery teams.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Identifying Regional and National opportunities to develop positive Client relationships where Trinity s high quality service delivery will encourage the development of long standing partnerships with our Clients.
  • Identify key targets aligned with Trinity service sales strategy from initial engagement, relationship development, identify key decision makers, completing site surveys, production of the proposal, negotiation, and the closing of associated maintenance agreements.
  • Responsible for providing accurate forecast to the Senior Leadership team on a weekly basis.
  • To facilitate the relationship between the Client and Trinity, ensuring that all maintenance orders are handed over and communicated correctly to meet customer s requirements. This will involve regular communication with Operational, Service, Admin, and working with the regional Delivery Teams when required.
  • Ongoing management of the regional maintenance client base and associated engineer resourcing in conjunction with the national service management team.
  • To ensure that new contracts are reviewed fully prior to mobilisation, including a detailed servicing schedule is agreed (supported by mobilisation manager) with the client and Admin Team and recorded on the Trinity s service management system.
  • Provide lead trinity representation for allocated Facility Management companies, agreeing frameworks, rebate agreements and post engagement schedule of rates where applicable.
  • To ensure compliance with Company and Client H&S policies and any applicable standards with site specific RAMS where applicable (the delivery team will provide the associated RAMS where required.)
  • Provide support for the Central Bid team when tendering strategic maintenance contracts, including review, end user relationship management, attending site surveys & support collaborative bid writing to support a successful outcome.
  • To ensure all customer requests for additional and new works proposals are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Support for this particular element will be provided via the Regional Client Account Managers (CAM s). The role requires that proposals are dealt with and correctly managed in respect of time scales, profitability and quality of documentation.
  • To up-sell compliance systems options & remote monitoring take over quotations/installs.
  • Support, where required, Contract Renewals on allocated FM Clients
  • Where contracts have been secured support the quoting and securing of the uplifts on asset validation and take over from initial sell.
  • Attend Client and Industry events promoting the Trinity brand to support future opportunities.
  • To ensure Dilapidation reports have been co-ordinated or potentially completed by yourself for all new contracts issued.
  • To attend customer contract meetings, as & when required, and to ensure that a regular general liaison meeting takes place as appropriate for the level of work insuring records of the meetings are obtained and stored on the company s system.
  • To promote the Company and its core values and behaviours both internally & externally.
  • Secure non contracted disciplines (such as Security services for a Fire Systems customer).
  • To have an awareness of all works contract activities for all Key Account customers and assist in developing appropriate Sales Strategies for increased activity and profitability.
  • To evaluate systems for potential new/ replacement/repairs/additions and budget with clients.
  • To assist with the resolution of credit queries relating to Client Accounts
  • To ensure customer satisfaction at all times, via the collation of regular Client satisfaction surveys.

Accountable for:

  • Providing Monthly Sales forecast for all key accounts
  • Achieving set Sales Targets monthly/quarterly/annually
  • Profitability of Key Client accounts in line with agreed targets.
  • Ensuring the ongoing retention of Clients.

Scope of Financial Authority

In Line with agreed company financial sign-off/approvals matrix.

Key Competencies of experienced jobholder

Skills:

  • Sound management, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in engineering in a Fire and Security related industry.
  • Ability to develop & maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to achieve both short and long term objectives.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet agreed targets.
  • High level of commercial experience and awareness.
  • Ability to share Opportunities with other members of the Sales Team, where applicable.

Technical knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Fire and Security products.
  • Working knowledge of the British Standards, Regulations and Marketplace.

Understanding of the following Standards:

  • BS5839
  • BS5306
  • BS7671
  • BS6266
  • To operate business processes within the framework of BN EN ISO 9001, LPS1014, LPS1204, ISO14001, & should this be ISO 45001.

Health and Safety/Quality/Environmental:

  • Has completed and fully complies with the necessary H & S/Quality/Environmental training.
  • Fully understands and complies with the Company s Health and Safety Environmental and Quality procedures.
  • Comply with any additional Health & Safety/Quality/Environmental requirements requested by the client.
