requirementsphPrincipal Responsibilitieshul liUndertake the installation andor commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems life safety systems security systems and any other associated systems provided that adequate training has been received to be competent in the associated products to ensure that the system meets the specified requirements for the works projectli liCarry out all other necessary works required at customer premisesli liCarry out all works in a timely efficient and cost effective manner in line with the Companys quality standardsli ulul liLiaise at all times with the manager responsible for the delivery of the works projectli ulul liEffectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status particularly system defects that affect its correct functionli liLiaise with relevant administrators and managers and to ensure works service commitments are metli liPlan own work in line with schedules and instructionsli liEnsure legible and timely completion of all company paperwork in line with Company requirementsli liBe responsible for the management and security of own equipment stock in an efficient and economical manner by determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as and when appropriateli liOperate in accordance with the Company Handbook and all Company and customers quality standards and health and safety requirementsli liPass on any potential leads for further business to the relevant sales team or line managerli liDiscuss any suggestions for systemservice improvement with line manager or installation managerli liAttend training sessions identified by the Company and identify and communicate to line manager or installation manager any personal training and development needsli liIdentify and advise immediately any on site issues that would otherwise leave the client with lack of protection or coverage of their systems li ulpNote This is not intended to of a fire detection and alarm system life safety system or security system in line with manufacturers recommendationsli liAble to identify all types of cable associated with fire detection and alarm systems other systems and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers instructionsli liUnderstand different types of cable containment systemsli liTo ensure that as installed drawings tally with the finished project and communicate any variances to the manager responsible for the projectli liAble to addremoveedit devices on Gent systemsli ulul liAble to develop and diagnose Cause and Effect software for the relevant control equipment and to plan a full C&E test as part of the Commissioning processli liAble to operate all required test equipment li liAble to fully test every aspect of the installed system in line with manufacturers recommendations and the project specificationli liDemonstrate a logical and competent approach to system fault diagnosis and rectificationli liDeal with customers endusers construction personnel and inhouse staff in a professional mannerli liVerbal and written communication skillsli liHigh level of ability in the use of bespoke manufacturers Software programmes and Windows based Computer programmesli ulpstrongTechnical knowledgestrongpul liHas a sound knowledge of fire life safety and security control and field equipment and be able to carry out installation commissioning servicing fault rectification and repairsli liGent Vigilon productsli liManufacturer trained for various fire life safety and security systems ideally including Gent and Notifier li liUnderstands the basic building service systems eg air conditioning systems with a view to interfacing with themli liHas a comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire alarm problems including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as changes to the fire detection and alarm systemli liFull and detailed understanding of BSli liCompleted FIA or equivalent training unitsli liBasic Electrical Safety training (ECA)li ulpstrongStandardsstrongpulliConversant with the appropriate commissioning servicing and installation clauses within the relevant parts of BS BS Building Regulations and any other relevant standards and be capable of applying these to the commissioning and servicing of the systemliululliTo operate business processes within the framework of BN EN ISO LPS and a hrefhttpwwwtrinityfireandsecuritycomuploadfilesISO%%%%%%pdf targetblank titleISOISOa liulpstrongDocumentation strongpulliAble to read prepared plans and technical sketches service commission and repair systems in accordance with information provided and record changes to the required destinations within agreed time limitsli ululliCalculates the incidence of false alarms and prepares advice for the customer on the implications of these incidentsliulpstrongHealth and Safetystrongpul liHas completed and fully complies with the necessary H & S training as required As a minimum this will be the ECS Health and Safety Assessmentli liFully understands and complies with the Companys health and safety procedures and Environmental policy and has signed a copy of Trinitys site Health and safety blueprintli liReports safety issues responsibly and participates in improving practiceli ul
