McKie Recruit are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our clients rapidly expanding housing disrepair team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to pursue a career in law (particularly in civil litigation) and has a passion for working in a fast paced growing law firm. A training contract may also be available for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be:
Calling potential new clients to talk them through our questionnaire and ask follow up questions to extract the information needed to make an assessment of a claim;
Setting up and maintaining cases on our case management system;
Arranging and confirming appointments for clients;
Requesting and obtaining certain instructions from clients to enable claims to be progressed;
Reviewing information and providing summaries to fee earners; and
General office based administrative tasks.
Experience of completing general administrative tasks in high volumes
Experience and skill in the drafting of clear but professional letters and e-mails
A good telephone manner and generally a good way and manner with clients
Enthusiasm to learn and a desire to succeed in the legal profession.
Requirements
Law degree or equivalent (essential)
LPC (Desirable)
2 years experience in the legal sector (Desirable)
