Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Expedition Planning: Design, plan, and execute coastal expeditions, which may include hiking, kayaking, wildlife tours, and other outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for participants.
Environmental Education: Provide in-depth knowledge about the local ecosystem, wildlife, geography, and conservation efforts to expedition participants, fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Safety and Risk Management: Prioritize the safety of participants by conducting thorough risk assessments, adhering to safety protocols, and being prepared to respond to emergencies or unexpected situations.
Equipment Management: Maintain and oversee the use of equipment, including kayaks, hiking gear, and safety gear, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly sanitized.
Guidance and Instruction: Lead groups of participants on coastal expeditions, offering guidance, instruction, and interpretation of the environment while fostering a respectful and responsible attitude toward nature.
Guest Interaction: Foster a positive and enjoyable experience for participants by engaging in friendly and informative interactions, answering questions, and facilitating group dynamics.
Environmental Stewardship: Promote responsible tourism and eco-friendly practices by setting an example and educating participants on Leave No Trace principles and conservation efforts.
Itinerary Development: Create detailed expedition itineraries, including routes, schedules, and points of interest, ensuring an enriching and well-organized experience.
Guest Services: Assist with participant registration, payments, and inquiries before and after expeditions. Ensure participants have the necessary information for a successful experience.
Documentation: Maintain records of expedition data, including participant lists, incident reports, and environmental observations, to support reporting and future planning.

Qualifications
Must Be at least 18 YOA
Must have legal authorization to work in the USA.
Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of coastal ecosystems, wildlife, and natural history.
Experience in the coordination and execution of outdoor expeditions, or related roles is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm for environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Proficiency in navigation tools and platforms is a plus
