At Jumbo Group we want people to learn, have fun and be happy thanks to our amazing toys and games. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Product Developer to join our dynamic team and make dreams come true!
You will be responsible for developing new and exciting brands and products within learning and creativity, games, and toys for all the kids around the world.
To achieve this goal, your functions will be the following:
Develop products including specifications, instruction manuals, and game rules to ensure the products comply in all our sales regions
Work with third party collaborators such as inventors, translators, and outside studios to create exciting new products within the portfolio
Work in collaboration with the Brand Managers to generate new products from concept to manufacturing
Understand the category to take into consideration Trade and consumer expectations of ranges and products
Be involved in monitoring sales and ensuring all products new and existing meet required profit margins
Liaise with Procurement teams, Design Department and Quality control to implement changes
Understand and keep informed of key trends and the performance of the company and its competitors in the retail toy market and key trade channels
Brief the Graphics Department to produce packaging, product designs, artwork etc., as well as commissioning illustrators, copywriters, photographers, and other outside creative agencies
The knowledge you should bring to Jumbo Group to take our services to the next level is:
Degree level or equivalent, ideally in a product design or a creative subject
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar creative role
Experience in developing new products including costing, sourcing and briefing
Graphic design experience
Knowledge of 3D CAD software is a plus
Planning ability and excellent organizational skills required to manage and coordinate the product development process
A genuine enthusiasm and creative flair for working with products in this multi-role position
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Self-motivated with strong self-direction and initiative
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities
Be reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player who is ready to take on exciting challenges!
