JOB TITLE: Program Analyst (Data Privacy)
DURATION: Contract to Hire
LOCATION: Remote (preference for EST/CST, but not a deal breaker)
Must Haves Communication and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of MS office tools including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook. Able to schedule and lead meetings.
Candidate should also have some/all of the following Privacy experience, understanding of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, CCPA, State Privacy laws) and security frameworks (NIST, ISO), audit experience, analytical skills, experience in Managed Care/Health Insurance in a related field or managing projects in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in Managed Care/Health Insurance in a related field in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs preferred.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, CCPA, State Privacy laws) and security frameworks (NIST, ISO) is plus.
- Knowledge of data privacy best practices and industry standards a plus.
- Auditing experience a plus.
- Analytical skills a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Data Privacy Programs Analyst supports the development, implementation and execution of the Enterprise Privacy department's initiatives and programs across the organization.
- This role works closely with cross functional teams to ensure that the organization complies with applicable data privacy regulations and maintains data privacy best practices.
- This role also conducts assessments and monitoring to measure the effectiveness of the data privacy program and identify areas of improvement.
- Primarily responsible for performing Privacy Impact Assessments of systems and processes that create, store, send, and receive sensitive information, including but not limited to, Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Work closely with project managers and system owners to complete Privacy Impact Assessments in a timely and complete manner.
- Track progress of Privacy Impact Assessments and drive assessments to completion.
- Serves as a liaison in corresponding and communicating Privacy requirements with project managers and system owners.
- Maintain accurate records of data privacy activities and compliance efforts and prepare reports for management as needed.
- Promote a culture of data privacy awareness throughout the organization by supporting conducting awareness campaigns and providing guidance to employees.
- Performs other projects and analysis related to Information Governance and Information Security as assigned.
