Electrical System Engineer

Job Description:

  • Responsible for creating subsystem wiring diagrams and full machine wiring diagrams, for both low voltage (12V DC 24V DC) as well as high voltage (800V DC 2600V DC, 480V AC) systems.
  • Responsible for conducting electrical load calculations and load studies in order to appropriately size wiring, fusing and components.
  • Responsible for specifying both low voltage and high voltage (AC and DC) electrical components.
  • Responsible for working with the harness and cable routers as well as attending design reviews and give feedback.
  • Must work with the Electronics group to implement any required design changes .
  • Responsible for checking harness, cable, and electrical component and assembly drawings.
  • Responsible for getting harness drawings and wiring diagrams into the release process.
  • Must provide build and troubleshooting support to the factory, suppliers, proving grounds, and field.
  • Responsible for assisting in the creation of checkout documentation for verifying production wiring in the factory and field.
  • Must be able to assist other groups within NATC1, such as QA, Service, Purchasing, Marketing, etc. to help resolve electrical issues (such as replacement parts for component shortages).
