WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We seek a hungry, determined, self-motivated sales individual who will work well with a team and lead from the front. To work on one of our fastest-growing products. Working directly alongside a dynamic team, the successful candidate can progress quickly and be supported in the growth of CloserStill Media.

Your daily job will be

Responsible for the group shows daily performance, working alongside the Portfolio Director in leading the team across all disciplines. Assisting the Portfolio Director to ensure tactics are produced to manage the event program, budgets, resources, and staff. Work with the Portfolio Director to ensure the success of high-profile events whilst maximising profits. You will be liaising with other departments, such as operations, marketing, and the show team, to ensure the smooth running of the event as well as planning and post-event responsibilities. With the Portfolio Director, manage the show budgets, ensuring no overspending and maximum business profitability. Support company senior management team with the smooth running of the company as and when required.

THE ROLE:

  • Manage the event sales staff and, where appropriate, sales contractors
  • Lead by example beyond team target, also responsible for delivering personal sales targets across the event under your management
  • To proactively develop a strategy backed up with tactics for the team s new business leads and recruitment of new accounts
  • Develop a campaign strategy with the Event Director that meets and exceeds targets, including overall numbers of exhibitors, exhibitor mix, stand sales, sponsorship inventory, yield and sponsorship revenues
  • Ensure the sales plan is being delivered on target and budget and activity targets (outbound call volumes and face-to-face meetings) are met
  • Support the sales team in developing new revenue streams and creative and complex sales, such as sponsor
  • Set clear goals and objectives for all reporting staff

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous B2B sales experience
  • First-class communication skills
  • Account management experience throughout the full project cycle
  • People-centred management ability
  • Commercial mind-set
  • Ability to build lasting rapport with clients, both on the phone and face-to-face
  • Sales KPIs are crucial for personnel and team to meet all times/revenue/salesforce and day-to-day KPIs.
  • Fully understand budgets and the process- Assistance by RA
  • Liaising with all departments and must have good working relationships with all depts and, most importantly, the direct show team & overall team
  • Get involved with the overall team in training and assistance where required.
