Position Summary
Warehouse Associates will perform various activities such as receiving, sorting, loading, unloading, and shipping products. They will organize stock, maintain inventory, process, pack, and ship orders. They will assist customers with pickup of orders and drop-off of service jobs. Keen attention to detail is a must.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in product.
  • Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin locations or other predetermined orders - for example, product line, type, size, etc.
  • Pull customer orders from stock according to pick tickets.
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipping using common carriers.
  • Process orders through shipping software and create packing lists and Bill of Laden as required.
  • Record amounts of items received or distributed in computerized inventory control system.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
  • Operate equipment (forklift, pallet movers) as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to work with sales team, service technicians and other warehouse associates.
  • Ability to contact customers to help determine best shipping method as required based on product size and shape.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists and pick tickets.
  • Basic computer skills such as data entry and using Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control is a plus.
  • Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems is a plus.
  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite.


Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position are typical for a medium work warehouse environment including frequent movement about the warehouse/office, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting 50+ pounds.
