About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Construction Operative to join our team. We are a fast growing company and we are looking for energetic team members who will be as passionate about our projects as we are. We are looking for growth oriented team members who have experience in multi-family construction as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities working as the Construction Operative:

• You will support the team on a number of construction / installation projects, installing floors.
• You will need to be reliable, hardworking and a good timekeeper.
• Day to day site management of subcontractors and field staff
• Installing and servicing overhead commercial and residential doors, springs, cables, and/or other hardware.
• Installing and servicing other commercial and industrial specialty doors, equipment and accessories.
• Assuring quality by checking for proper installation, clearance, and balance.
• Installing and servicing other commercial and industrial specialty doors, equipment and accessories
• Assuring quality by checking for proper installation, clearance, and balance
• Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer questions in a truthful and pleasant manner
• Work with Procurement to assess and make recommendations to senior management regarding contract service offers.
• Accountable for establishing and managing logistics and associated site projects.
• Assure contractor competency management processes are in place and effective.
• Can demonstrate your knowledge of hand and power tools

Skills and Experience:

• Self-motivated, honest and trustworthy
• Experience working with hand and power tools.
• Eye for detail.
• Enjoy working within a team environment.
• 5 years construction experience.
• Experience with multi-family construction.

Requirements:

• Can demonstrate your knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Have mechanical aptitude.
• Have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Can work independently as well as on a team.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can lift anywhere between 50-100 lbs regularly.
• Can show up to work regularly.
• Complete understanding of the construction process start to finish
