Sr Civil Engineer

Growing Design firm has a need for a Sr Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering Manager in Knoxville or Chattanooga, TN. This is a direct hire opening with a full benefits package. Pay package can go to $180K depending on experience.

Technical management including working with project managers to develop design scope of work for proposals, providing technical leadership during project design, and attending meetings during all phases of the project • Completes assignments within budget and schedule while leading design teams involving multiple disciplines to meet profitability goals in support of the business and strategic plan • Leads and manages civil engineering staff in the preparation of construction documents including specifications, cost estimates, and reports. • Provides oversight on production and technical quality to ensure the Quality Program is implemented • Management of civil department employees also includes hiring, development, and coaching for improvement while facilitating a collaborative work environment and advancing initiatives that support a positive workplace culture • Performs other duties as required

Education & Experience Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred • Minimum of 5 years' experience of civil site/land development/project management • Outstanding organizational and project management skills • Strong skills in site grading, stormwater, erosion control, and utilities • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills • Strong teambuilding and collaboration skills
