Purpose of the job

As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer you will be responsible for the preparation and day-to-day (BAU) support of IT solutions and services, physical or virtual. You ll do so according to industry and organisational best practices, standards, service requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the product life cycle.

At this role level, you will:

Create and maintain documentation
Perform all routine tasks according to processes and checklists
Monitor infrastructure and applications services
Alert and take appropriate action
Respond escalation from 1st line/Service Desk and other IT teams

Key Responsibilities

Manage (renew and replace) SSL certificates.
Manage and troubleshoot Zero Trust remote access.
Manage, configure, troubleshoot and patch/upgrade physical and virtual (VMware, Azure, AWS) Windows and Linux servers.
Configure and troubleshoot internal and external email flow.
Configure and manage AWS accounts/Azure subscriptions and services.
Manage Microsoft 365 services.

Knowledge, skills and experience required
Windows server
VMware vSphere (5.5 and newer)
Server hardware and SAN/NAS storage (HP, IBM, Dell)
Backup solutions (AWS/Azure/HP/Veeam/Druva/Rubrik - any of them)
Patch management
Netskope Private Access (NPA), Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma or similar
Mimecast, Barracuda, Exchange Online
Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), Azure AD Connect, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Enterprise CA,
Microsoft 365 administration
Experience with ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow, FreshDesk)
Good PowerShell skills for automation and reporting
Basic network troubleshooting skills (iSCSI, routing, NAT, firewalls)
Any level of Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) administration
Any DevOps experience is beneficial (Git Server/GitHub, Octopus, Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps)
