Your mission:

As a leader, your role will be pivotal in guiding and elevating our development team, ensuring the code quality and adhering to best practices. You will lead technical projects and work closely with our CTO. Your main goal is to make sure we produce high-quality work and finish projects on time.

Your daily work at Fiction Express:

• Lead & Mentor: Guide and elevate our talented development team to new heights. Your leadership will be instrumental in improving our team's internal dynamics.
• Code Quality Oversight: Elevate the standard of code quality, ensuring we adhere to best practices and produce top-tier software.
• Technical Project Definition: Take the reins on core developments, defining all phases of our technical projects, from initial ideas to deployment.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with our CTO to strategize and define optimal team dynamics, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and objectives.
• Deliver Excellence: Always aim for the highest quality and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, meeting or exceeding expectations.

What we expect from you?

• Have finished Computer science or similar studies.
• Extensive experience with Django, Python and MySQL.
• Profound experience working with microservices and containers.
• Considerable proficiency in frontend development.
• Great experience working with AWS.
• In-depth understanding and advocacy for coding best practices.
• Demonstrated history of leading technical projects, from the definition to the deployment and monitoring phases.
• A consistent track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving and growth mindset and a passion for innovation.
• High English level (B2-C1)

What we would like you to have:

• Advance proficiency in frontend development, using frameworks like React.
• Great experience working with non-relational DBs like MongoDB/DynamoDB.
• Mid to advance knowledge of AI/ML model development.
• Good DevOps knowledge., including autoscaling knowledge using Kubernetes.
• English proficiency (C1-C2)

Hiring process:

Meet the People & Culture Team: 30-45 minutes of conversation where you can learn more about Fiction Express, your role, and what you can expect from your experience here. We'll have the opportunity to learn more about your background and assess how well it aligns with our values and culture.

Meet Your Manager: 45-60 minutes interview with the CTO. You can discuss your role, and the manager will evaluate your skills.

Technical Test (offline): We will send you a case related to your role. This is focused on the hard skills and the knowledge needed to perform in the role.

Review of the Technical Test (online): Together, we will review your code, and we'll ask you technical questions related to the project and your development.

Meet our team: 30 minutes of conversation with someone from our team. You will have the opportunity to meet other people from Fiction. We will be able to learn more about how you align with our culture and values.

Final Interview: If you've made it this far, you're one of our top candidates! You'll meet our founders to conclude the process.
