Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Fleet Associate to join our team. The Fleet Associate will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our all electric vehicle fleet, ensuring that our vehicles are safe, reliable, and always ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a some technical background in electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on our all electric vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in EVs
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialised maintenance and repairs
- Ensure vehicles are fully charged ready for the daily routes
- Monitor charging station performance and address issues promptly
- Conduct thorough pre and post vehicle inspections to identify any damages or issues
- Log and report any damages, accidents, or safety concerns to the Fleet Manager promptly
- Ensure the interior and exterior of all vehicles are clean and well-maintained
- Implement a regular vehicle cleaning schedule to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and inspections
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies. Order replacement parts as needed
- Provide recommendations for cost-effective improvements
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in maintaining electric vehicles is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of electric vehicle systems, including batteries and charging systems
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication skills
- Holds a valid drivers licence
- Commitment to sustainability and environmental goals
