Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of thier mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure reliability.
  • Install, align, and dismantle machinery and equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Source and requisition replacement parts and materials as needed.
  • Assist in training junior maintenance staff as required.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency repairs.
